I present myself, my name is Duncan, I’m from Grenoble in France and I study Civil Engineering for two years. I always be impressed by all the huge structures. How can they stand up ? It is impressive how men could build skyscrapers, bridges, cathedral… From rocks to bridges with spans of more than 1 thousand kilometer. The world is amazing and there are so much different cultures and know-hows to discover and finally Architect-US makes me go to America!
This is the end of my study and the final step to be graduated is to achieve an internship. When I was looking for it, one year ago, I say to me «Can I do it in an other country ? With an other culture, differents ways to work and especially an other language. Why not ? It should be a great experience!» and Architect-US makes me go to America.
My uncle live with his familly near to Chicago, so he help me to find the best company. Bulley & Andrews which do impressive works and projects that I loved accept to take me as intern. It is a real chance for me to work with them. The final step was to have the Visa. It was here that Architect-US did an outstanding work to help me in this task which isn’t always simple.
Thanks to the Architect-US team for everything they doing for me, they make my internship with Bulley & Andrews possible and a special thanks to Alejandro Molina who always motivated me! The best thing I can have, is to do this internship in America, it will be a great and enriching experience!
From the French snowy Alpes to the great windy city, this is the beginning of one of the best experience of my lifetime.
