Tiago Ferreira joins us for the third time in the Architect-US Portfolio Challenge, he was a part of the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program in the past, and this time around he submitted a project called House in a House. Last time he submitted the project called Falling Light, which aimed to provide different sectioned off areas of a building that each provide space for a different activity. His new project aims to envelope a house within a house, to be more specific a green house, that is able to use solar energy through the Solar Shovels included. By having an open stairwell that allows for air flow as well, the design provides a new way of living within nature.

Tiago attended the Universidad de Minho in Braga, Portugal and more recently worked with Handis SNC in Casablanca, Morocco. He has a passion for design and rendering of spaces that create a new experience for the user and takes them out of their comfort zone to make them think about their surroundings and how they interact with it.
