Poltavtseva added, “Shiny blue hills, glowing mountains and smooth rocks softly rise on top of Xi’An Station. When visitors arrive, they suddenly land into the center of this hill, move up and exit in the middle of the blue surface looking at Xi’An skyscrapers from a new perspective. This is perspective of a city of the future, where Xi’An is not just known worldwide for its culture and history but also as a symbol of technological progress. Nonetheless progress does not come without drawbacks. Objects created by humans are damaging the nature, filling forests, seas and mountains with waste. Therefore, an artificial landscape is created on top of Xi’An train station. Rocks, pebbles, islands made out of recycled plastic materials give shape to an imaginative nature without affecting the existing one. This is how the landscape of the future will look like, born from the combination of the familiar language of the nature and anthropic materials.”
Poltavtseva used Sketchup, V-Ray, Photoshop, Rhinoceros, Enscape, Autocad, and Illustrator to create these amazing renders!
