Carlos Alcalá Santaella Macías created Ponce Intercontinental for the Portfolio Challenge! Santaella sought to redesign the Intercontinental hotel in Ponce in his eyes, and as you can tell, the public spaces are very inviting. Each render provides a different perspective, and towards the end of the project, Santaella starts to outline each area and how they interact and the value they provide to the general environment in the hotel.

Currently, Santaella is working as a BIM Architect at FL-ARE in Madrid, Spain. Previously he worked at Adam Bresnik Architects as a Junior Architect. He received his Master of Architecture at Universidad CEU San Pablo in Spain. He would love to get the chance to work in the US and learn from the best of the best in NYC!!
Santaella used Rhino, Grasshopper, Autocad, Photoshop, Ilustrator, and Robot to create these beautiful renderings of the Ponce Intercontinental.
If you had a hotel, how would you redesign it?!?! What would you add?! Leave us your thoughts in the comments section below!! 👇👇👇
