Gulbenkian said, «This project focuses on the impacts of tourism on the social fabric of the city by trying to understand the manifestation and consequences of tourism and the ways it affects urban and social landscapes – through heritage processes and urban regeneration strategies eventually compromising local identity. The project aims to explore new models of social and economic production in order to engage and protect communities from gentrification. The project intent is to give the framework for local communities to act as the developer and conservation institution, independently from governmental and private practices.»
Ines Gulbenkian used Autocad, QGIS, Rhino, and Illustrator to create this beautiful artwork.
