VISITING THE CAPITAL OF UNITES STATES

Hello Hello,

Last week I had the chance to visit the Capital of the United States, where millions of movies and series have been portrayed, including one of my favorite House of Cards. It was really hot for an autumn weekend but I loved the city and highly recommend it to visit.

The trip started with me leaving Orlando and my boyfriend leaving New York. We stayed in a nice university neighborhood, lots of new and modern buildings, young people and cool bars. I was impressed with the city’s nightlife, here in Vero Beach things close early and we don’t have many options so I got very excited.

Saturday morning, we had a nice brunch and started to explore the city, our first stop was the White House, everything was very calm because President Donald Trump was not there. Then we walked down the downtown park to the Washington Monument, World War II Memorial, Lincoln Memorial, Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, Thomas Jefferson Memorial, and more. We got tired and decided to rent a bike so we could explore as much as possible. Then we stopped for lunch and started exploring the museums, the cool of Washington is most museums are free, but you can help with a donation as much as you wanted. We visited the very interesting Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum and Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History. Cool spots to go.

Already on Sunday we woke up early to explore other museums, walked through different galleries, I was delighted that the old houses are totally in harmony with the new buildings, the architects did a great job for the Logan Circle region. We visited the Smithsonian National Museum of American History Museum and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, highly recommend both, very strong contrast between them but quite interesting.

Unfortunately, it was time to go back, Washington surprised me a lot I recommend spending a few days here.
