my professional experience in NYC
Priscilla Du Preez

Bye to my professional experience in NYC, I will see you soon!

Well…my professional experience in NYC comes to an end. It was the most incredible experience of my life and it exceeded all my expectations, every single one of them.

I went through some of the happiest and saddest moments of my life during my professional experience in NYC, but I lived everything in a different way and was able to see everything from a different perspective. I feel that I was able to grow not just professionally but personally.

Today the last day of my professional experience in NYC at Jorge Mastropietro Architect Atelier PLLC, I have a crazy mix of emotions! I’m happy because I’m looking forward to an amazing vacation trip that I’ve planned with some amazing friends that I met here, and I was lucky enough to be roommates with. I’m also looking forward to seeing my family and friends from my home country again after that vacation trip. But at the same time, I’m a bit sad because this amazing experience is coming to an end and it will be weird not to see my coworkers every day and completely change my routine. Just when I got used to this crazy but amazing city, it’s almost time to leave.

Professionally, I learned a lot and tried to take advantage of all the things that I was being taught. There wasn’t a single day that I wasn’t thankful for this opportunity.

I wouldn’t change a single thing of my professional experience in NYC, good moments and bad moments. I’ve learned from everything and tried to take the best out of it.

I feel privileged to have been able to work in such an amazing city as New York, and up to this day, it seems unreal. I met amazing people, made friends, gain experience, grew up, traveled… I can’t ask for anything else on this trip.

I can’t wait to see where life will take me after this amazing journey!
