Architect-US 2026 Paid Summer Internship Program – Applications Open!

Have you ever imagined spending your summer immersed in the creative energy of a top U.S. architecture studio – sketching ideas in New York, collaborating on projects in San Francisco, or exploring Miami’s vibrant design scene?

Now’s your chance to make that vision a reality. The Architect-US Summer Internship Program is your gateway to experiencing the fast-paced world of architecture and design in some of America’s most dynamic cities.

Whether your passion lies in architecture, urban planning, interior design, or graphic design, this program offers a unique opportunity to step inside leading studios, work alongside experienced professionals, and build a portfolio shaped by real-world projects.

Applications are open now, and the deadline to apply is October 26th, 2025. By that date, we’ll need to receive your portfolio and CV, so don’t wait to start preparing your materials! You can be the next to join teams in cities like New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Miami, Houston, or Puerto Rico – from June 2026 onwards, case by case fully immersing yourself in the daily life of an American design practice.

The program is flexible – you can choose to spend 3, 6, or 12 months abroad, depending on your academic and professional goals. Remember, this experience is designed for students in their 4th or 5th year of architecture school, or those who have recently completed their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. If you’re ready to take your first professional steps in a truly international setting, this is the perfect way to begin!

Last summer, Maite Rodríguez López took the leap and joined the Architect-US Summer Internship Program at CetraRuddy in New York. She gained hands-on experience on large-scale projects, worked directly with senior architects, and learned essential tools like Revit and Enscape. For Claudia, New York had been a dream since she first visited at age 12. Through the Architect-US Summer Internship Program, that dream became reality when she joined WORKac, a small but dynamic studio. She gained hands-on experience with real projects and clients, building confidence and professional skills from day one.

Living in Manhattan was transformative personally as well. Claudia learned independence, resilience, and how to thrive in a fast-paced, new environment, while forming friendships and a support network that made her feel at home. Architect-US Summer Internship Program Overview

  • Requirements: have a good knowledge of the English language AND be enrolled in 4th or 5th year of Architecture School OR just finished your Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree
  • Locations: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, San Diego, Miami, Houston, Puerto Rico, and many more!

  • Compensation: $20-$25/per hour (equivalent to $41.600 – $52.000/year)
