Company Culture at Work Architecture + Design
WorK Architecture + Design approaches every project with a positive attitude and a desire to make a positive impact on everything they come into contact with. They believe that every project is unique. By developing a comprehensive plan and tackling every problem with novel design-thinking, they bring out the distinct and independent nature of every project.
The company sees limitations and difficulties as fresh chances for accomplishing outstanding outcomes. They make it enjoyable for their clients to participate in the creative process through their collaborative approach.
We begin by listening to the client’s needs and use that conversation for the framework of the design process.
They strongly advocate for collaborative participation in every stage of the design process, from ideation to implementation. They firmly believe that the success of their work depends on the local community being mindful.
By employing these techniques, they produce excellent visual and functional design while deftly balancing the demands of their clients with local laws and customs. Sarah Sioufi
She contacted Architect-US seeking assistance with the sponsorship and paperwork for her J1 visa. On July 23, 2023, French architect Sarah Sioufi completed her program as a trainee at WorK Architecture + Design and is currently employed there full-time as an architect in New York!
Sarah earned a Bachelor of Architecture and a Minor in Art History from the American University of Beirut in Lebanon. She graduated with honors and was named to the Dean’s Honors List six times. The Global Undergraduate Awards granted Sarah’s Thesis Project the title of Highly Commended Entrant.
She participated in multiple semester-long study abroad programs while attending University, spending time at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan, and the Architectural Association in London, United Kingdom. She is currently learning Spanish and speaks many languages fluently, including Arabic, French, and English.
Despite her young age, Sarah has a varied background in work experience for example being an intern at MVRDV where she participated in the construction of Etam Paris, went on site visits, drew up construction drawings, and created staircase modeling and renders. WorK Architecture + Design‘s Selected Projects
The Video Archive Bar – Cincinnati, Ohio
A fun speakeasy with a nod to Quentin Tarantino’s films. Covered by a working video store from the 1990s, clerks direct guests to activate a moving bookshelf door, which opens to reveal the upscale dive bar hidden behind it. The room features cracked glass mirrors, custom neon lighting, and an art installation called «Mia Wallace» that sits atop an old-fashioned jukebox.

Holy Goat – Louisville, Kentucky
This pre-Civil War church in Louisville’s Nulu neighborhood was built in 1846, and the second story was added in 1859. The two stories and historic choir loft of the 6,000-square-foot building have been painstakingly restored to create a mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial space. Interior Decorating was done by Workshop.
