Relocation of itinerant merchants in Santa Cruz de Tenerife

Ignacio Igarzabal joins us for the first time to present Relocation of itinerant merchants in Santa Cruz de Tenerife to the Portfolio Challenge. His project aims to create an eco-sustainable park which includes a market, cycling area, green space, and more. Find out how he views the world!

Ignacio Igarzabal,
an architect from Argentina, published his first Portfolio Challenge today with his submission of Relocation of itinerant merchants in Santa Cruz de Tenerife. His project seeks to create an eco-sustainable park that has mix-use such as an outdoor and indoor marketplace, residential spaces near park green, a cyclist park, and a green park for people to collaborate and relax. Ignacio graduated from Facultad de Arquitectura – Universidad Católica de Córdoba – Córdoba, Argentina and has always been a proponent of the circular economies.

During mid 2019 he got the opportunity to work in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at EDSA, where he was able to practice his 3D modeling, rendering, and construction documents. Before that he worked in Cordoba, Argentina at Estudio Montevideo, which is where he was able to form himself as a Lead project manager, and focus on sustainability design. Part of being sustainable is using materials that are sourced locally and ideally re-used and re-purposed to be able to fulfill some of the key goals of the project. He provides us with a look into how he would design the joints of the indoor markets and most of it is made of wood and some cement. Not only that, but Ignacio gives us a look into the small details that define his overall vision for this beautiful market in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.

[Let us also share your great work with our Community and participate in the Portfolio Challenge today.]
