Miti Ng joins us for the first time in the Architect-US Portfolio Challenge, she submitted a project called Museum of Confucianism, which focuses on the history and beauty of Confucianism. Confucianism is a system of thought and behavior originating in ancient China. It is described in many different ways, as tradition, a philosophy, a religion, a humanistic or rationalistic religion, a way of governing, or simply a way of life.

Confucianism developed from what was later called the Hundred Schools of Thought from the teachings of the Chinese philosopher Confucius from 551 to 479 BCE. In the late twentieth century, the Confucian work ethic has been credited with the rise of the East Asian economy. With particular emphasis on the importance of the family and social harmony, rather than on an otherworldly source of spiritual values, the core of Confucianism is humanistic.
Miti Ng has worked as a RIBA Part-II Architectural Assistant at P&T Architects and Engineers in Hong Kong. She is originally from Hong Kong, and has been working in Toronto for four months now as an Architectural Technician at CHERIE NG ARCHITECT INC.
