«THE PAN PALACE»: GASTRO-CULTURAL CENTER

Miguel de la Ossa has been an incredible part of the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program and he joined the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program a couple of years ago, and within a couple of months he was able to get work in the USA at Cetra Ruddy. Last time he submitted his project called DISCO + DWELLINGS AT THE MINISTRIES PARKING which shows how his abstract perspectives become detailed and lays out how to start from foundation to final form. «THE PAN PALACE»: GASTRO-CULTURAL CENTER is his newest submission and it was created as his Master’s Thesis at ETSAM Polytechnic University of Madrid. The goal of the project is to create a space for a tight knit community of gastro-cultural aficionados.

In 2016, Miguel joined our program, and very soon after was offered the chance to work in New York City with Cetra Ruddy. He got to stay there until 2018, and was able to learn more about construction documentation and client facing. Now he is in Spain working as an Architect with Estudio Herreros.

As you can see below, Miguel tries to keep the buildings compact to a specific block, in order to promote collaboration and a variety of levels of utility. Whether it be a community center or a large kitchen for community cooking or a library or a theater, all is considered and designed by Miguel.
