Good afternoon readers, how is going on?
I am about to enjoy my evening here in my home, I am feel tired and I just want to chill. Today is Thursday and my mouth is watering just thinking about Friday.
My calendar reminds my that tomorrow there will be 2 meetings plus a L&L- that stays for Lunch and Learn – for this reason I am not going to wear my jeans as I would like! oookey, fine 🙂
Jokes a part, I am really enjoyng my time here in Miami and I am so glad to be part of such an important firm as Arquitectonica is! This experience is giving me the opportunity to depend th e American Business World and only now I can say I understood their motto:» work hard, play hard»
Infact, David Guetta’s song is constantly in my mind during this america days: «Work hard, play hard/ Work hard, play hard/ We work hard, play hard /Keep partyin’ like it’s your job, ayy»
American people do really work A LOT! they are unstoppable! there is an example above all that I want to give to you that I think will give you better understanding my point: the e-mail box.
When I arrive at the office, as first thing I go into the kitchen and I get my coffe ( as a good italian, I can miss it). After that, I go to my workstation, enter my password and I start reading the e-mail. what I usually find are email of owners, engineers, clients sent out at 11.00 p.m/ 5.30 p.m/ sometimes 2.00 p.m. that shocked me! they are absolutely committed to their job, they live for their job, they breath job.
No doubt, that is honorable but I do not like this approach. Moreover for our job, we have an artist soul that need to be inspiered, need to be relaxed. for sure, this will be one of the think that I will put in my suitcase even do I will always prefer to work smarter and play better!
