When everything just goes as usual, this city has those moments when you are able to stop all the sound in your mind and realize how beautiful and cool is to be there in that exactly second.
Maybe it was the right music, in the right instant, in the right place. Maybe just a compliment of the right person has made your day, or maybe just a sunny morning. That moment is unique, that’s what I call a “mini-accomplishment”. A small thing that makes you feel awesome!!
This week I discovered this amazing cover for The New Yorker. I completely believe that it describes perfect the feeling of being amazed by the daily surrounding. I take the subway every day and I kind of hate it a bit. It’s busy, and it has a lot of delays in the rush hour, but today I was on the train heading home when I was listening Ludovico Einaudi (what helps a lot), and I realized how wonderful all was. I feel I’m achieving my goals. My program was about to finish this April and I just extended. I’m so glad to have this possibility to be learning in this environment. I´m working hard to achieve my goals, but it’s great to see how much I have already learnt in this months.
A mini-accomplishment that I enjoy everything is to be able to get off the subway in the 34th St in the city, where I can see the Empire every morning. That just makes my day.
Thanks to all those small things that make my day, and to all those people that I stare every day on the subway, I’m sorry about it. But as this New Yorker cover tell us, this time on the subway can really inspire. I get a lot of my ideas from this time on the train.
