Sento

Macarena Chaves Martinez joined the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program more recently and has been working towards getting an opportunity to work in the USA again. Last time she submitted to the Portfolio Challenge, she submitted StartMad, which won her an Amazon Gift Card.

This time around she submitted a project called Sento, which aims to provide a design that integrates varying levels of pools and relaxation spaces that he calls pods into the nature around. As you can see below, you find the top of the building is covered in trees and refuge from the sun, and as you move through the designs, it shows how the structure is set within the ground.

Macarena has been able to study at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) and the Illinois Institute of Technology. She was able to work at Forma Architecture in Chicago for 7 months, while studying at Illinois Institute of Technology. She has been at Nelligan White Architects for over 7 months now and is loving her experience in New York City thanks to her top notch abilities and her work with Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program.
