Justine Velasquez previously submitted a project to the Portfolio Challenge that was her thesis work from her studies at Universidad del Valle, which was called The Park. Now this time around she is submitting another top notch project called Young Architects Competition. Justine has been working towards the opportunity to hop over the pond and challenge herself and push forward her career. She has been part of the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program since late last year and has been quite active in the community with her incredible work.

As you can see in the images below, Justine creates a thoughtful breakdown and timeline of what the visitor will experience while talking through the ruins of the castle. She does not just draw inspiration from one culture, but many different cultures and disciplines to provide a holistic approach to the design and try to empathize with the visitor’s experience through the historical monument.
[Let us also share your great work with our Community and participate in the Portfolio Challenge today.]
