Guillermo del Rio started working on this project during his spring term 2017-18 at the Polytechnic University of Madrid (ETSAM) and in his last Portfolio Challenge Project that we presented, Between Sea and Cliffs, he showed us his technical skills and love for nature. This time around Guillermo presented us with a more institutionally important architecture project called Student Hall Residence & Library.

Since graduating from his Masters in 2018 he has traveled from Madrid to Iceland to California, all in a matter of a couple of years! Incredible adventures that he was able to find through persistence and consistency in his quality of work. Now his is working McGinnis Chen Associates after being let go from Corgan in Los Angeles due to the economic downturn caused by the pandemic.
Guillermo was able to find a new job in a matter of two weeks! That is right! Two weeks! He saved his J1 Visa and is now living in San Francisco!
