Maria da Silva Menezes Reis, a top notch architects in the Architect-US Job+J1 Visa Program, has presented their project called Rural School in Haiti previously, which garnered her the winning project in October with over 293 likes on Instagram. Now she is back again to present another one of her wonderful projects called Requalification of Peniche’s Urban Front. The focus of this project was the revamping and updating of an Urban Front that Maria visited earlier. She saw the space for improvement and used it as an opportunity to test her skills and provide an updated and fresh design for the urban area.

Maria graduated from Universidad Autonoma de Lisboa in 2016 and has since worked at Frederico Valsassina Arquitectos. Maria has been working in Portugal, but she is gearing up for her next career step towards the USA. Her vision is to create architecture that speaks to the humanity of those that use and interact with the space she creates.
