The time has almost arrived for me to conclude my J-1 18 month program here in Hoboken at MVMK Architecture. After being offered the opportunity to stay in the studio for a longer period in behalf of the principals (which Im honored and grateful for that) I started looking for options. The first was of course the O-1 for outstanding professionals. While seeking advice from an immigration lawyer and in my case being a Mexican there was a straight forward solution that I did not know , this is the TN Visa. The TN visa is part of the NAFTA agreement between Canada, US and Mexico and provides Citizens with required degrees and experience to apply. Until this point I have all my paperwork filed and I have to wait for my appointment and hopefully all goes according to plan.
I will me posting the required documents and process I went through just in case anyone requires to take the TN Visa path!
