When I think about traditional cultural activities a fair is one of the first ones that pops into my mind. For that reason, when a friend told me about the Miami Dade County Fair I bought the tickets. One thing that I really liked about this fair is that they support scholarships and youth programs with the profits that they earned.
About my experience, I went with a friend on a Thursday night. My first impression was that it is exactly as what is shown in the movies. All the lights, colorful attractions, the music, the fast food, and the games you always wanted to play when little wishing to win the gigantic teddy bear.
we went straight to the big slides, easy and quick first attraction to enjoy as a warm up. The second one was the swings, this attraction weren’t the biggest ones in the fair, and I am grateful for that because when it started to move, I completely regrated, my stomach felt it all. After that one, we went to two different attractions but the type that spin. To be honest, really bad idea. After the second one I need to sat down for a while or I was going to throw up. (Realizing how bad I felt with those attractions that years ago I enjoyed so much made me feel old, really old). Therefore, the next rides were the ones where you only sit down and enjoy the view.
However, after a while my stomach got better so I decided to try eating some food funnel cake it was kind of good but I wouldn’t eat it again. Although, I think that I had the whole experience of a typical fair.
