Just landed to work in the big apple! What a dream to live in such a cool city!
I am already settled in my new apartment, with two other roommates (also architects!). Just in the epicenter of Manhattan, 5 minutes walking distance to Times Square and 8 minutes walking to Central Park. Work in the big apple It’s like living a dream. I wake up every morning, work out at the gym (next to my place) and go straight away to work at MEIS in Flatiron District. How cool is it to work next to one of the most iconic skyscrapers in New York?
Working for MEIS has given me the opportunity to broaden my knowledge in many ways! Coming from a really big company to a small firm has given me the chance to get really involved in the projects since the beginning. The atmosphere in the office couldn’t be better. Nice people who nail their work every day!
And what about the weekend plans in the city? A huge amount of events, expositions, and exhibitions are happening every day. My last one was at the Brooklyn Bridge Park. It was called Photoville, where more than 600 artists presented their work in 90 photography exhibitions and outdoor installations. Such a great plan for the weekend.
I have been here for over a week, and I cannot wait to see what’s next in the big apple!
