In Between Art, Photography, Architecture and Cinema (Part 1)

I highly recommend this very inspiring movie, it’s creative, intimate, touching, and funny.

Faces Places in the new road movie/documentary by the two French artists JR and Agnès Varda. JR is a photographer and muralist who is famous for his collages of  white and black photographic images displayed on buildings. And Agnès Varda is a photographer and director famous for her experimental movies and for being part of the development of the French New Wave.

Both fascinated by their respective artistic work, they decide to travel together in a little photo booth truck to meet people in rural areas in France and produce large scale photographic images related to people stories that they display on houses, trains, barns and various supports they find on their way. They push the boundaries of photography, cinema, art and architecture.

I highly recommend this very inspiring movie, it’s creative, intimate, touching, and funny.
