Award Winning Projects: CANstruction

Some of the participants of Architect-US programs took an important role on the design and CANstruction of the project. Special mention to the author of this post!! 😉

GMS proposal was awarded by the jury on 24th edition of CANstruction Charity Competition celebrated recently in the financial district of New York City.

Every year some of the leading architecture, engineering and construction firms around the country design and build temporary sculptures made of cans of food that are exhibited to the public for a week and donated later to several non profit organizations.

Inspired by the Gothic architecture we design a structure composed of more than 5000 tuna cans that created one of the biggest spans ever built in all the editions of the CANstruction competitions all around the USA.

Some of the participants of Architect-US programs took an important role on the design and CANstruction of the project (special mention to the author of this post with his amazing design and 3D skills) and the later de-CANstruction as all the cans were donated to the charity.

It’s always rewarding to use your knowledge and skills to help others.
