After 3 months of getting my J1 Visa and working at Edmonds + Lee Architects, I can say that I have already learned a lot and that I really enjoy the Architect US experience.
First of all, during this 3 months of getting my J1 Visa, I expanded a lot my architectural vocabulary and it makes communication with my colleague’s way easier. Then I increased my skills and my speed on Rhino and Maxwell, software that I didn’t use before. And I have the chance to work on multiple projects, so I can be involved in different phases of projects, including making selections of furniture, equipment, and finishes.
That’s my desk and how you can see it pretty messy. We have a nice library of floor and wall finish samples and I like to take advantage of it to be the most realistic possible when I model a space and render an image.
