International Day at Inglese Architecture & Engineering

Hi everyone!

It has been almost two months since I came to the USA and I still can’t believe this is happening. Every day seems a little bit easier than the day before and I feel more adapted to my new life. I am learning a lot at Inglese Architecture & Engineering and the work environment is really comfortable.

The office has people with many different backgrounds and cultures and for that reason, it was decided to have once a year what they call International Day. In this special day, everyone is supposed to bring a typical dish from his/her country made by one self. This was my first event at the office so I was very excited about it. As I was not very sure on what to bring, I decided to make a classic: croquetas de jamón.

After quite some time preparing the dough and shaping, I had almost 50 pieces ready for the party. It was really amazing to see so much variety of dishes. There were dishes from Colombia, Italy, Nigeria, Morocco, Bolivia, Polish… and if course, Spanish. We had a lovely time together and one of my colleagues even got dressed with the typical attire of his country!

This was, no doubt, a really interesting and funny cultural activity.
