My Journey to a Training Position in NYC with Architect-US

Hello Architect-US Community!

My name is Francisca Gil Sosa, and I’m an architect from Argentina with a background in BIM architecture and landscape design. I have experience working on entertainment projects, resort hotels, and public spaces.

I’ve always wanted to pursue a career in the U.S., especially in an exciting city like NYC! When I was there on vacation visiting family, I instantly knew I wanted to work there and experience what it’s like to be an architect in the U.S. 😊

At first, I was concerned about how long the J1 visa process would take and whether I could navigate all the paperwork on my own. However, Architect-US made everything so much easier! They were incredibly helpful from the very beginning. I started sending them questions about the process, the requirements, and everything I needed, and they were always there for me.

The J1 visa process and paperwork were a bit exhausting, but I felt I could make it smoother and succeed thanks to Architect-US.

As for how I got my training offer, I applied through many job boards, such as Archinect and LinkedIn, among others. The interview process was exciting, and when I met SiteWorks and their team, I knew it was the right place for me, their projects and goals aligned perfectly with my skills.

Now that I’m about to embark on this incredible journey, I look forward to experiencing the American work culture, expanding my professional network, and developing new skills. I also hope to make new friends, gain new experiences, and immerse myself in a new culture.

Thank you, Architect-US, for making this dream a reality! And a special thanks to Georgiana for her patience and guidance throughout the process. If you’re considering taking this step, I highly recommend their services—stay tuned for more updates on my journey.
