History of bonetti/kozerski architecture

Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture is a renowned architecture and design firm based in New York City. The firm was founded in 2000 by Enrico Bonetti, an Italian-born architect, and Dominic Kozerski, a British-born architect.

Enrico Bonetti studied architecture in Venice under the guidance of the late architect Aldo Rossi, while Dominic Kozerski studied at the Bartlett School of Architecture at the University of London and at the Cooper Union in New York. The firm is known for its minimalist style and has worked on a variety of high-profile projects.

Their first major client was American fashion designer Donna Karan, and they have since worked with other notable clients such as hoteliers André Balazs and Ian Schrager, music producer Rick Rubin, and film director Shawn Levy. Some of their significant projects include the interior design of Avenues: The World School in Manhattan, the Pace Gallery’s headquarters, and the luxury superyacht “Oasis” for Italian shipbuilder Benetti.

Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture is celebrated for its aesthetics of understated luxury and warm minimalism, achieved through a rigorous design process that emphasizes collaboration with clients.

Benetti Oasis 40m Yacht

bonetti/koszerski developed the interiors for OASIS 135, a 41-meter displacement yacht with a fiberglass hull and superstructure and a layout spanning four decks, as its first collaboration with Benetti, one of Europe’s oldest and most prominent luxury yacht builders.

Working together with British yacht designers RWD, who developed the framework, the company designed rooms with the intention of evoking a sense of serenity. The rooms are finished with materials that have a high-end feel to them and will hold their character over time.

Asbury Lanes

The renovation of a famous bowling alley from the 1950s into a mixed-use entertainment area with two bars, a café, a performance stage with state-of-the-art lighting and sound equipment, and six additional bowling lanes.

With the intention of preserving as much of the original charm as possible, the original building was updated but not fully restored. Any additional construction, including the cafe, bars, and restrooms, was considered an insertion into the room’s unaltered brick walls.

The recently installed bowling lanes are «pro» lanes that use a custom-made mechanical pin setting mechanism based on traditional methods. The speaker and road case stack wall, as well as the bowling ball flag features, were exclusively commissioned from artists in both Nashville and the surrounding area.
