The new headquarters for the New York operations of Walt Disney Company will have a new NY operations headquarters, occupying an entire city block. The architecture of the former “Print District” required large floor plans, and the new headquarters site allows for square footage of up to 85,000 square feet, an ideal size for contemporary media production, with 1.2 million gross square feet in total. This building, which is nearing completion, features a unique glazed green terracotta façade. The design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with traditional elements, resulting in a sustainable and visually striking structure. The green terracotta panels with double and triple columns create a distinctive rhythmic texture that echoes the undulating facades of the neighborhood, complementing the warm earth tones and adding depth to the building’s robust structure.
