When this adventure started a year ago, the ending seemed to be extremely far in time. However, here I am, writting my last post for the blog. The mix of emotions is unbeliveable. On the one hand, I am very exited to travel back home and see all my family and friends again. On the other hand, I feel sad to leave the city that has given me everything, the city where dreams come true.
For this last post, I do not even know where to start. I would totally recomend everyone to come to the US for a year. It is imposible to list everything that I have learnt so far. My internship with GMS has given me uncountable tools and engineering knowledges that I will take with me along my professional career. The company has been a solid support system during the year, with colleges that have invested their time in helping me grow. I take with me all the technical skills that I have adquired during the year, as I am sure that they will be of great need in the future.
Then, as far as New York City is concerned, I could not have chosen my destination better. This city is full of life even when everyone is sleeping. There are numerous activities to do, so being bored is not an option! There are also a lot of clubs, associations… etc that one can join. In my case, I joined NYRC (New York Rugby Club) at the beginning of my experience and it was for sure, my best move. The club has been my family here, and will for sure be the thing I will miss the most. Thus, I totally recommed joing a sports them. Moreover, you will make friends while working out!
Finally, thanks Architects-US for helping me throughout the process. Without them the experience would not have been the same.
