Started an Adventure

One year ago, I started with this <beautiful (and totally possible) dream>. I said one year ago because I am working a lot in Argentina. I had to organize and prepared a partner for my current position. Because of that, when Sonia asked me “when” I would be prepared to move to the USA I never thought that the process would be so fast. And I waited to the middle of January to start with the applications.  I started with this adventure to develop my career in a different culture and further, to improve it in a different field and environment.

JOB OFFER

When I started with my portfolio, I did not know how to “sell” my experience because I had been working at the same company since I started university. But, Sonia and all the team of Architect-US where there to help and guide me. First, I took my time to investigate about interviews in the USA because it is totally different to the system that we used to working in Argentina. Then, when I felt well prepared, we started with the applications. One week later I was getting my first interview. It was so fast; in around two months later I had a job offer in an incredible studio in L.A.

EMBASSY APPOINTMENT

Now, I am waiting for my embassy appointment for my J1-Visa. All the papers and the process took me around a month. I don’t want to lie; it is a lot of paperwork but, Sonia helped me in each step of the process and answered all my enquires. I received an excellent guide from Sonia and I feel confident about my embassy interview.

THE ADVENTURE STARTED

Since I got the job offer, I have been sharing time with my family and closest friends because in a couple of days I will be starting this incredible adventure in L.A.
