Today, I would like to celebrate the city that has graciously welcomed me and become the place I proudly call home.
I would like to suggest everyone some tips and adivces for a two days weekend in Houston! Houston is in fact the vibrant cosmopolitan hub of Texas, that offers an abundance of experiences to delight weekend travelers. From world-class museums and delectable cuisine to outdoor adventures and lively entertainment, this city has something for everyone.
You can start your weekend by immersing yourself in Houston’s rich cultural tapestry. Begin at the Museum District, one of my favourite place in town! home to renowned institutions like the Museum of Fine Arts and the Houston Museum of Natural Science, and of course the Menil collection (designed by Renzo Piano).
For lunch, savor the flavors of Houston’s diverse culinary scene. From mouthwatering Tex-Mex to tantalizing seafood, the city’s restaurants are a food lover’s paradise. And don’t forget to taste some Vietnamise food, which is very diffuse here!
In the afternoon, head to the historic Houston Heights neighborhood. Its tree-lined streets are adorned with charming boutiques, quaint cafes, and art galleries. Take a leisurely walk and soak in the neighborhood’s unique character.
As evening sets in, make your way to the Theater District. Catch a captivating performance at the iconic Houston Grand Opera or enjoy a Broadway show at the Hobby Center for the Performing Arts.
On day 2, rise early and venture to Buffalo Bayou Park, a picturesque urban oasis. Rent a bike or take a scenic walk along the trails that wind through lush greenery, offering stunning views of downtown Houston. Don’t miss the opportunity to admire the impressive art installations scattered throughout the park.
For brunch, indulge in Houston’s famous southern-style comfort food. Whether it’s crispy fried chicken, fluffy biscuits, or savory barbecue, the city’s culinary delights will leave you craving for more. If you like BBQ you have to go to Pinkerton!

Wrap up your weekend trip with a visit to Houston’s vibrant and diverse neighborhoods like Midtown or The Heights. Explore their unique shops, local breweries, and lively entertainment venues.
