Half way through my internship

I’ve been fortunate enough to spend the last few months interning at an architecture firm in Charlotte, North Carolina, and it’s been an incredible experience. From day one, I’ve been challenged and pushed out of my comfort zone in the best way possible.

During my time here, I’ve had the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, from small-scale renovations to larger commercial developments. Each project has presented unique challenges and learning opportunities, and I’ve been grateful for the chance to expand my skill set and knowledge base.

One of the things that I’ve appreciated most about this internship is the collaborative nature of the firm. The architects and designers here are incredibly talented and passionate about their work, and they’ve been generous with their time and expertise. I’ve been able to learn from their experience and perspective, and it’s been incredibly valuable to see how they approach design problems and work through solutions.

Another highlight of my internship has been the chance to explore Charlotte itself. It’s a vibrant and growing city with a rich history and culture, and there’s always something new to discover. I’ve loved exploring the neighborhoods, trying new restaurants, and taking in the local art and music scene.

Of course, there have been challenges as well. Architecture is a demanding field, and there have been times when I’ve felt overwhelmed or unsure of myself. But the support and guidance of my colleagues has helped me to push through those moments and come out stronger on the other side.

All in all, my time in Charlotte is going to be an unforgettable experience. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow as a designer, and I know that the lessons and skills I’ve gained here will serve me well in my future career.
