CetraRuddy Selected Projects
Fotografiska New York is the US outpost of the internationally renowned destination for photography based in Stockholm. The adaptive reuse of the 1894 Landmark houses a museum crafted with the DNA of Fotografiska. The goal of the project was to create a space for New Yorkers to meet, eat, drink and experience photography through an immersive series of rotating exhibitions, while simultaneously returning the historic landmark to the public.

Hudson Greene is a mixed-use Manhattan-style complex in Jersey City, New Jersey. The site is comprised of two towers: 77 Hudson Street and 70 Greene Street. Both buildings are connected by a 11-story, 374,000 SF parking structure topped with a 36,000 SF landscapped rooftop plaza with shared outdoor amenities, such as indoor/outdoor terraces, an interactive media gallery, communal café space as well as a wellness center. Sheathed in faceted, floor-to-ceiling glass walls of varying blues, the sleek towers have become an inocnic form along the Hudson River Skyline.

This boutique hotel and luxury condominium is a powerful addition to the midtown Manhattan skyline. The transfer of adjacent property air rights allowed the construction of a slender 45-story tower on this mid-block site. The glistening silver-gray prefabricated metal facade is punctuated with windows arranged in a kinetic pattern that reflects the building’s midtown location. The tower’s sloped columns and street facade maximize the building’s floor area in accordance with the sky exposure plan while creating more engaging spaces within. A dynamic three-story-high entrance encompasses the hotel, a restaurant, and a vertical garden, enlivening the entry experience. Hotel guests and residents reach the elevator lobby across a dramatic bridge with views of the garden and lobby. The sophisticated residential interiors, crafted from luxurious materials, reinforce the modern vernacular of the building’s form.
