I’ve been in the United States for almost five months now. Sometimes live in a small city in another country is not so easy, sometimes the homesick is almost impracticable but deciding to join this time on the East Coast of Florida was one of the best decisions that I’ve already had.
My team is amazing, the owner of the is very attentive and always taking me for visits so that I can understand what we are developing and drawing, which is really helpful. My supervisor Suzi I don’t have words to explain how special she is. She has a lot of patience to explain everything to me, from work to life. Today she is my best friend here, we always go out to dinner, to hang out, talk about life, travel and drink some wine. She also has two dogs we always go to the beach together to walk with them or play volleyball. Now, this summer I also joined the city racing team, so every Thursday I run 3 miles on the bridge, and then the group stays to watch the sunset. Life here is calm and quiet, very different from what I was used to in San Paulo
At the office, I became familiar with the measurement system and inches is not a big deal anymore. So now I’m getting more responsibility and different project which is really nice. Sometimes I still feel the barrier with the language, but more and more has been easier.
I`m really excited about the next months, especially since I have a series of scheduled trips, I will visit the west coast where I have never been, and I will visit New York a few times. My parents in law are coming to see the USA open with us.
So bad I can wait for summer.
