Baseball time!

Going to a Baseball game is quite different than watching a soccer ball. Everyone is relaxed, no crazy claques are supporting the different teams, and the and the ambiance is pretty chilled!

The baseball stadium s not just a place to watch the game. It’s also a place to hang out with friend and family. You see from babies that can barely hold their baseball caps, to world war II veterans. Almost everyone wears a cap or a t-shirt of their favorite player from the local team.

Everyone is in a good mood with their drinks and their buckets full of burgers, nuggets, and chicken wings. It is definitely an excellent place to spend the afternoon.

The game is slow, but it turns enthusiastic when you start knowing some rules. Watch out this video:

Also, the ball used at baseball games is a sphere between 22.5 and 24 centimeters in circumference and 142 grams in weight. It is made with a combination of cork, rubber, wool, and leather. In the 1870s the balls were made with horsehide, but due to how difficult it was to get the material, they decided to change to cowhide. The average life of a baseball in a professional game is 7 pitches and most recent balls have microchips inside that record the speed at which they are thrown.

Actually, this ball cans achieve a really high speed: the Cuban pitcher Aroldis Chapman holds the pitch Guinness Record. He threw the ball at 105.1 miles/h on September 24, 2010, when he was playing for the Cincinnati Reds.

Are you ready for the game?
