2 tips to expedite your visa in the shortest time possible

Whether you want to join our Job+J1 program or you are just looking for us to sponsor your J1 Visa after an offer has been extended to you, there are different things that you can do to expedite the process. Most firms are fine with waiting the 30 days for the J-1 Visa, as it is probably the fastest visa to issue, however, if for any reason the firm is in need for you to start right away, you can always resort the different options we are presenting to you here below:

  1. DS-2019 Expedite Issuance Service or Premium processing

If required by the participant or the host company, you can pay for the $1,410 expedite visa issuance service. This reduces the waiting time from 30 days to 15 days. For this case, the department of Homeland Security guarantees a 15-calendar day processing time, if for any reason there is a delay, they will refund your premium processing fee.

  1. Expedited Embassy appointment

If you have the need to expedite the appointment in the U.S. embassy in your home country, you need to provide documented urgency. This option is limited only to exchange students who are within 30 days of their program start date. In order to do so you provide the DS-2019 indicating the start date of the program and evidence that you have paid the SEVIS fee.

These are the two main things that you can do in order to expedite you visa in the shortest time possible. You and your Host Company will most likely not use this as most of them are okay with waiting the 30 days, but in any case we want you to know that there are ways for you to do it if necessary.
