I went on an ideal trip to Grace Farms, New Canaan, Connecticut. It is located about 50 miles north-east of New York City, and it provides a unique opportunity to experience of art, architecture, and nature. My aim was to visit and experience the critically acclaimed, Japanese architectural firm SANAA-designed River building.
As an architect, I was amazed by the power that the building had to activate the site without intruding on it, making a minimal-impact on the land and being built by its locally sourced materials and energy-efficient construction. It is a must see when you live in the big apple. This trip is suitable when you feel that it is time for a break from all the noise and buzz of the city.
