The Fourth of July – also known as Independence Day or July 4th – is the American birthday and this is my first 4 July in Seattle.
And this year 2018 was my first America’s birthday !
How they celebrate?
Is quite and spirited time in the United States! One of the biggest ways to celebrate is by watching a colorful firework display at your local park or stadium. These beautiful fireworks light up the sky with colors of red, white and blue and help make the first 4 July in Seattle celebrations memorable for the entire family.
Before the firework display however, the real fun begins! Many families will take a stroll to the beach or head to the park for a mid-day barbecue. Others might find themselves entering a watermelon-eating contest or visiting a local Fourth of July parade, full of live music, cyclists and fun!
What they eat?
The most popular thing is the barbecue! Some typical dishes you might find at a Fourth of July barbecue are hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill, with a side of corn on the cob and Coleslaw!
For dessert, this is a great opportunity to flex your creative muscles and cook up something fun and festive! Many will bake fruit cakes in the shape of the American flag, while another fun idea is to enjoy red, white and blue Popsicle that are fun to look at and even better to taste!
The important thing is to spending time with family, friends and loved ones.
How I celebrate this 4 July?
A colleague invited us my and my husband to a amazing party at College Club Seattle! a beautiful place in Lake Union with a desk on the lake to enjoy the fireworks, music, and food!
So we went at 7pm to this beautiful place in front of the water get fun, eat some hamburger, veggie hamburger for me 🙂 ! and wait until 11pm to see the amazing fireworks in front of us!
Many people in this area of the city was celebrating there also many boats! the lake was very full of boats, kayaks, SUP board etc..
