The end of May it is special and fun not only because is the beginning of the summer, but for me it marks a year since I arrived to Philly.
I came to this city not knowing anyone here or the city itself and I’m glad I did it during the summer season, it is the best time of the year to meet new people , make friends and enjoy the amazing weather!
Top places to visit during summer around Philly/New York:
* Atlantic City/ Ocean City NJ. About an hour driving from Philly, both are very open and windy/ wavy beaches. Perfect for long walks and water sports. For nightlife , AC definitely has the best bars, casinos, hotel ( Vegas Style) for a weekend getaway.
*Long Beach, NY. Kind of hard to get from Philly, but the train from Penn Station NY, takes a little over an hour. This beach the whole city reminds me of the typical American beach cities from the movies: Boardwalk, surfing , BBQ’s next to the ocean and very laidback and relaxed atmosphere.
