When its 72°f mid-February in New York

Coney Island and Brighton Beach were alive with activity as people came to enjoy this flash of sun, seeing the amusement park suspended in time was a great and dramatic backdrop to the day.

The winter in New York has been an interesting one and it feels as though I’ve been getting a taster of all the seasons throughout from Snow boots to Sunglasses and everything in-between. This included one day where we managed to reach 72°f and perfectly clear skies, this day therefore was clearly too good of an excuse not to venture out to the end of the F line and make it to the beach.

After hopping on the subway in Manhattan you can be at the beach a short one hour journey. Whilst we were visiting out of season to see the Luna Park amusement park up and running there was still plenty to see and do in the hot weather.

Coney Island and Brighton Beach.

The Beach and Boardwalk were alive with activity as people came to enjoy this flash of sun, seeing the amusement park suspended in time was a great and dramatic backdrop to the day, can’t wait to return throughout the summer once the weather heats up again and the pier becomes alive with the activity of the fairground.

Definitely recommend this escape from the city.
