I am currently working with my J1 at PFA architects is an architecture firm in Asheville North Carolina. They have expertise in education, healthcare, government, civic and cultural projects. The firm has been active for over 50 years. Their projects include the programming, planning, and design of new buildings as well as the renovation and transformation of existing structures.
Working at this firm is being a great opportunity for me in order to learn the way architecture is conceived here, in North Carolina. Furthermore, it also offers me the chance to get a deep and full understanding of the North-American culture.
Asheville is a city which is located between mountains, so the amazing views make my drive to work worth it! The city itself is not very big in size, however, the constant performances of local artists on the streets, make it feel like a very active and big city. Working as a J1 at PFA Architects is a dream made a reality.
The surroundings of the city of Asheville are full of surprises due to its topography full of hills. One good example of this would be the Biltmore house, located near the city, it is a Châtesque-style mansion built in 1895 which is the largest privately owned house in the United States.
