Hi everyone!
So my name is Laura and I’m from Madrid. I’m currently a 3rd year architecture student at IE University.
Since I was very young I always wanted to become an architect but the moment I realized I had to apply for it was at the top of the Florence cathedral in Italy, the view was so impressive that I felt something special.
Working in the USA has always been in my mind. I think the culture is different and so the way of working. Experiencing this would provide my a varied point on view on architecture.
What I like about working in Scalar Architecture is that besides it is a small firm you get to work on different scales, from an interior design project to a public building.
I would define my experience with Architect-US as very helpful and personalized. The person I talked with was really helping me through the whole process and I really appreciate that.
I am currently living in NYC, so I am getting used to it. There are lot of different places I want to visit but I am specially excited about the High Line.
However, even though I am in love with the city I miss going out in Spain for the ‘aperitivo’ or having a beer with my friends at a terrace on a sunny day.
My experience here has just begun so I am looking forward to what’s happening next!
