Architect-US

The beginning of a new stage

What seemed like an impossible dream at the beginning, and thanks to the help provided by Architect-US, is today my new reality.

Probably all the changes in our life mean the end of a stage and the beginning of a new one.
Right now I am in the United States ready to take my first steps in the professional world as an architect. Just a few months ago this seemed to be an unreachable dream much more than a real possibility.
When I finished my mayor in architecture I went to get inscribed in the Colegio Oficial de Arquitectos de Madrid (the professional Association for Architecture),  where by chance  I heard about the program of Architect-US.
After investigating a little more about this program, soon I realized that with their help, the dream of learning and training in an architectural firm in the States was a real  possibility.
I chose a place where, for personal reasons I wanted to be, and without too much thought I went for it, even though at that time it seemed like taking a leap in the dark.
Architect-US offered me since the beginning all kind of advices and relevant information about the openings and different opportunities to start as an intern. But for me the greatest difficulty was always the legal issues and the necessary procedures so that my status as an Intern were not a problem for the architectural firms I wanted to be hired by. It is in this kind of matters where the help from Architect-US came truly in handy.
To make short a long story, I am currently in the State of North Carolina ready to take my first steps in the architectural world, hired by an Architecture firm as an intern, enjoying a J-1 visa that granted me a legal status in this great country .
What seemed like an impossible dream at the  beginning, and  thanks to the help provided by Architect-US, is today my new reality.
