I had the chance to find an architecture agency that seems to be a perfect fit for me and that accepted me as a trainee.
I didn’t know about Architect-US, but it came up first when I looked online for the appropriate sponsorship agency.
Patricia García has been very helpful and kind to explain me the program and guide me through the whole application process. She has been available anytime I needed, very enthusiastic, and I have never felt alone during the application and J-1 visa process.
It took a bit more time than I thought, but I could have gathered all the required documents more efficiently, asking for the reference letters and certificates first of all, since we never know how long it will take to get them back signed.
It finally turned out very well, and I am now ready to start my training program at Edmonds + Lee Architects.
