Thanksgiving Potluck in the office
Yesterday we celebrate thanksgiving in the office with a spectacular lunch menu. Each one prepared a dish and we shared all of them. There were the typical duck, cranberry sauce, squash soap, mashed potatoes, bean casserole and of course the traditional pumpkin pie. It was my thanksgiving and the food was really taste. I think it was the best american food I have tried here in New York. When you go to eat to American restaurants the most common dishes you can find are burgers, sandwiches… But I have discover a rich gastronomy by the hands of my workmates. They are really good chefs!
We have lunch with another office of the building. They are engineers who work with us in some projects. It was a long lunch where I learned the origin of Thanksgiving thanks to one workmate who explained me all the story. I enjoyed a lot the day and now I have some receipts for the realThanksgiving next Thursday. Some friends will come to my house, so I will try to dazzle them with some exquisite dish!
