Engineering Cities, Building Futures

A City That Never Stands Still

Four months into my journey in Los Angeles, I’ve come to understand that this city is not just a place—it’s a research ecosystem in motion. With its scale, diversity, and constant transformation, LA is a living lab for innovation in infrastructure, architecture, and engineering.

Each project here teaches you to adapt, grow, and reimagine what’s possible. Designing in this city is a powerful experience—one that challenges you technically and inspires you deeply.

High Corridor: A Project of Scale and Purpose

This month marks the beginning of one of the most exciting chapters in my work so far: contributing to the High Corridor, a large-scale transportation and urban infrastructure initiative.

This project represents the kind of challenge that blends engineering precision with urban impact. It’s not only a learning opportunity, but a moment to place my skills on the table—to bring my ideas, values, and design vision into a real-world context.

Working with the team at SENER Engineering allows me to participate in solutions that go far beyond technical drawings—they shape mobility, sustainability, and social connectivity in one of the most complex cities in the world.

BIM: More Than a Tool

In Los Angeles, BIM engineering is more than a process—it’s a shared language.
It connects disciplines, predicts issues, enhances collaboration, and ensures that the invisible layers of a city support visible human experience. At SENER, I’m learning how this language brings together teams from engineering, architecture, and urban design toward one shared goal: creating smarter and more inclusive spaces.

Constant Movement, Constant Growth

Engineering in LA pushes you to keep learning. The city doesn’t pause. Neither does its demand for creativity, precision, and emotional intelligence.

I’m grateful for this moment of growth—where technology meets empathy, where design meets data, and where the work is meaningful because it’s shared.

If you’re navigating your own design or migration journey, I invite you to share your story too. You’re not alone in the process of reinvention.
