Morris Adjmi Architects reinterprets Denver’s industrial past in the design of Steel House

Morris Adjmi Architects has designed Steel House, an office building in Denver that reinterprets the industrial past of the River North Arts District through a modulated black façade and a striking volumetry. Located in a former industrial zone next to the railroad tracks, the project aims to bring new energy to the surroundings without losing its original identity.

With 12 stories, the building combines seven levels of office space with parking and a retail podium on the ground floor. Its envelope, formed by C-shaped beams in charcoal and silver tones, reinforces the verticality and rhythm of the façade, while elements such as an indoor basketball court and a climbing wall incorporate a contemporary approach focused on well-being within the workplace.
