The design for the New York City Public Health Laboratory, presented by SOM, has been shown. The laboratory will be a ten-story building designed to strengthen the city’s capacity to respond to a variety of public health problems and future challenges. The laboratory is organized within an outward-moving cubic glass volume, rising from a masonry-clad podium containing community-related functions.
