Winter in New York

December has arrived in the city. For the first time, I’ve experienced the city covered in a blanket of snow, and it’s breathtakingly beautiful. It’s almost surreal to see how well the city handles the snow—it’s like they’ve mastered the art of balancing efficiency and charm. The paths were cleared quickly, but the snowy ambiance remained intact, giving the city a magical feel. I still prefared being tuck in a warm place and watch it than playing with it.

This month, Christmas came and illuminated the city with so many lights. The festive decorations were everywhere, and it felt like stepping into a winter wonderland. Unfortunately, I didn’t get the chance to go ice skating—it turns out it’s incredibly difficult to snag a spot during tourist season. Yes, tourist season in December is real, and it takes over the city.

If I’m honest, the only downside to New York is how crowded it gets, especially during the holidays. But even that can be avoided if you know the right spots to escape to. Despite the crowds, the city has a unique charm that makes everything worthwhile. For Christmas, I ended up traveling to Texas, where I enjoyed some warmth instead of heading back to Spain, which isn’t in my plans just yet.

However, I made sure to return to New York in time to experience New Year’s Eve—and wow, it was truly unforgettable. The energy, the excitement, the celebration—it felt like a scene straight out of a movie. Something i surely will never forget.

This December has been packed with fun and memorable experiences. I squeezed in a trip to the movies, indulged in some amazing food, and visited Central Park one last time before it became too cold. I also explored more of Brooklyn, which was such a treat, especially with the delicious Christmas pastries I discovered there.

Work has been busy but enjoyable. I’m learning so much, not just about the job itself but also about teamwork and collaboration. The office is busy with projects, but that didn’t stop us from having a wonderful Christmas party. It was a great opportunity to bond with my colleagues, and I’ve come to appreciate just how important it is to have friends at work. It makes the days fly by and creates a supportive, comfortable environment where you can truly enjoy what you’re doing.

Overall, December has been an incredible month, filled with both new experiences and the joy of the season. It’s a time I’ll remember with love for years to come.
