2025 In New york

Writing this at the start of a new year feels incredibly refreshing in so many ways. There’s something about the clean slate that makes everything feel full of possibility. New Year’s Eve in the city was absolutely amazing—not quite like the movies, but still magical in its own way. It was heartwarming and special, a completely different experience from how I used to celebrate in Spain. This time, I rang in the new year with friends, all the way in Brooklyn, and it felt like a beautiful mix of excitement and comfort.

So far, January has been full of surprises. One of the biggest highlights has been having friends visit all the way from Spain—it’s been so nice to share my new life with them and catch up in person. Work has also been going great, and life with my roommates continues to be as fun and enjoyable as always. There’s something so special about building a little home away from home with people who become like family.

Working at Work AC has been such a rewarding experience. I can’t believe it’s already been six months—time has flown by! It’s kind of crazy to think about how much I’ve learned in such a short time. Beyond just architectural skills, I’ve truly learned what it means to be part of a team, to collaborate, and to grow as both a designer and a professional. This journey has been challenging but so fulfilling, and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store.

Right now, we’re working on several exciting projects—a school, a hotel, and a competition that I can’t share details about just yet. What makes it even more fascinating is that all of these projects are happening in different countries. This has been such an eye-opening experience, teaching me how architecture varies across the world—not just in design, but in the different rules, regulations, and cultural influences that shape each project. It’s incredible to see how adaptable architecture is.

One of the highlights recently was building my first physical model in the office. It was such a fun experience, and honestly, a refreshing break from staring at a computer screen all day. On top of that, our office is currently undergoing renovations, so things are a bit chaotic at the moment, but I’m excited to see the final result. I can already imagine how nice it’ll be to work in the updated space once everything is finished.

I’m also really looking forward to the snow finally melting so I can spend more time outdoors and fully enjoy the beauty of New York. There’s so much I want to do, and I have so many plans ahead, including something very special—my birthday! I can’t wait to celebrate and make even more amazing memories in this city.
